Introduction to Azerbaijani Dances

We are excited to bring you Azerbaijani Dances by our talented and professional dance instructor.

Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage includes many traditional folk dances that trace back to ancient times. The first session of Introduction to Azerbaijani Dances is dedicated to one of the most elegant and beautiful Azerbaijani couple's dances called "Uzundərə" on the occasion of Valentine's Day.

Join us to learn a new skill or improve your Azerbaijani dance moves, boost your mood in these cold winter days and treat yourself with these exciting and unique dance classes. This is also great opportunity for youth and adults to learn about Azerbaijani culture and to put their learnings into the practise! This is an introductory session, no experience or dance partner is required. Everyone over the age of 15 in Edmonton and surrounding areas are welcome to attend to this free dance class brought to you by AzCSE.

We will start the session with stretches, we will learn about Azerbaijani folk dances and discover stories behind each dance, we will master introductory techniques and dance moves, practise together and have fun!
